Happy Canada Day!
Markus and I spent most of the day walking around Vancouver, enjoying the festive mood of Canada Day. The weather was perfect – no exaggeration! We headed to Granville Island for brunch and people watching, while touring the music and staged performances. After a brief work-break, we headed out for dinner (sushi of course) and fireworks.
We ended up walking the entire peninsula. . . it took hours!! I made it, barely, but not without injury. Both feet are sporting some solid blisters; right where the ball joint of the big toe meets the arch – ouch! That’s what I get for sitting in my car, day after day, for 2 months and 12,000+ miles.
In the end, we had a lot of fun and were glad to have been in the area to join in the celebrations! To no surprise, I took a few trashy pictures. . . just head over to the Pictures page to see them and more.
